The start is all ways exciting. We again were on Emirates Airlines thru Dubai to Capetown. The layover in Dubai was at the One & Only Palms hotel. Arrive early evening and depart at 0100 hours two days later. Arrive in Capetown around 1100. I will post some random pics that I have edited just for the short term. Not much time between touring and game drive through the Savanna grass lands and the delta.
First of all this was an extraordinary adventure. A once in a lifetime challenge. Remember when you ere a kid and you were looking forward to a field trip. It didn't matter where; you were just excited to be away from school for a day. This was an adult field trip on steroids - six countries; South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Tanzania. In country flights were a real treat. We took seven bush flights and six scheduled flights in 30 days. Flights door to door from USA to Capetown, with a layover in Dubai was about twenty hours. The return from Zanzibar was twenty six hours.
We went to four safari camps, Tengile River Lodge, Duba Plains Camp, Ol Donyo, and Mahali Mzuri. There were two game drives per day. We saw the Big Five game animals the firs two days; Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino (Black and White) and African Buffalo.
Enjoy the pics

First lion sighting.. What a guy!
The Leopards and Cheeta in Tengile Lodge South Africa. Our first stop and we saw all of the big five and were amazed at the grace and beauty of these cats.
The lion at lunch, Mr Cape Buffalo, a black Rhino and Mimi and Reese enjoying a Sundowner Gin and Tonic, on the Savanna in Kenya.

The tip of Africa, Cape of Good Hope. Actually Cape Point is the geographical tip, but the early explorers did not have a GPS.
